Our heroes formulated a plan to swiftly overtake the evil New God. But Darkseid, as always, was prepared for all contingencies. After surviving a full-speed charge by Captain Marvel, he struck out at his arch enemy, Superman, with a painful Omega Blast. Superman retaliated with a powerful blast of his own: heat vision. Wonder Woman, meanwhile had thrown her lasso around Darkseid, in an effort to restrain him.

After finally teleporting Captain Marvel and Wonder Woman away from the scene, his battle continued with Superman alone. Now, Captain Marvel and Wonderwoman have sped back to Superman's assitance. But what further tricks does Darkseid have up his sleeves? And what does he want at the Star Labs Power Plant, anyway?

Find out, Saturday, February 5, at 6:00 P.M. when our heroes continue their epic struggle against the dark lord of Apokolypse!

After they arrived upon a secluded island to investigate the break of a Star Labs Nuclear Facility, our heroes soon discovered that Darkseid was behind the attack. After he resisted their desperate attempts to subdue him, Darkseid finally revealed his intention to use the power plant as a birthing chamber for his "Engine of Destruction", Brimstone. His creation, he gloated, would annihilate the planet.

Leaving Darkseid behind, the heroes raced to the power plant, intent on stopping his mad scheme. But Darkseid was equally determined to prevent their interference. Using his Boom Tube technology, he teleported into the core reactor room, where Brimstone's pod was mounted over the reactor.

Superman was the first to fall, a victim of Darkseid's awesome Omega Blast. Wonder Woman and Captain Marvel raced toward the huge pod that dominated the center of the room as Apocolyptian cannons blasted away. When Wonder Woman instructed Captain Marvel to remove the computer that was wired to Brimstone's pod, Captain Marvel went one step further. He instead removed the pod, teleporting it to the Rock of Eternity, where it could do no harm.

Alarms suddenly blared and Captain Marvel quickly realized his mistake. He had removed the pod, exposing the nuclear rods inside the reactor! Thousands of lives would be destroyed by a nuclear meltdown unless that pod were returned to its place! They had no choice!

Darkseid laughed mockingly, as the heroes retrieved the pod. Once set back in it's place, Darkseid blasted open its door, revealing a huge, muscled creature that ripples with nuclear flame. At Darkseid's command, the creature lumbered forward, out of his pod, ready to do his master's bidding....

Meanwhile, the battle rages on. Brimstone seems barely aware of the heroes' most powerful blows, and contact with his blazing form burns blisters onto their skin. Brimstone defends himself with blasts from his fist and a cone of searing flame, projected from his mouth. It engulfs both heroes, but they bravely press on. Despite overwhelming odds, the heroes persevere, even as twin energy cannons continue to fire yellow blasts throughout the room.

Wonder Woman and Captain Marvel realize the inherent danger of continuing the battle inside the plant. Incinerating energy bursts demolish machinery and equipment, transforming them into blackened metal husks. And, with the wisdom of Athena and Solomon guiding them, they soon notice that Brimstone's body pulsates, glowing brighter as he gets closer to the reactor core.

Wasting no time, Captain Marvel lifts the 25,000 pound monstrosity, enduring the agony of contact with his searing frame. With all of his might, he hurls it toward Darkseid, at the huge apereture that had been ripped into the wall!

Darkseid, taken by surprise, is unable to dodge! Both he and his behemoth land miles away from the power plant.
