| AFFLICTION functions like Damage; it requres a DC: 15 + effect resistance check.
Failing this save by 10 or more, imposes the normal Affliction. However, failing the resistance check by 5 or less results in a WOUND. Unlike Damage, characters who fail the Affliction effect by 10 or more do NOT gain another wound; they only suffer from the Affliction Effect.
A WOUND is a cumulative -1 penalty vs. Affliction and Damage Resistance checks. Wounds suffered from Damage and Affliction Attacks are cumulative with each other and apply to ALL future Affliction and Damage Resistance checks until they are healed.
LINKED AFFLICTION AND DAMAGE EFFECTS can not cause more than one wound. A maximum of 1 wound is allowed per attack.
